This is a model Browning launched in 2017 – the B725 ProSport with 30″ m/c barrels. The ProSport has many new and unique features compared to the other B725 models in the range, all of the new features are unusually improvements (sometimes there are changes for changes sake) which make this gun a good choice for serious competition clay shooting. This is a heavier gun compared to other B725’s and there are more options to add extra weight in the box which will improve the overall balance at the same time as making the gun recoil lightly – this gun will be comfortable to use during a busy day.

The B725 ProSport features a plain black action with ‘ProSport’ engraved in gold. The factory made left handed stock has been totally re-designed. It is made out of attractive grade 5/6 American walnut and comes with a adjustable comb as standard and a beavertail forend. The grip is a very comfortable one with a slight palm swell & tighter radius – we rate this as one of the m0st comfortable on the market currently. The stock is set up ready to receive the new Browning Pro Balance System a series of weights which enable the user to fine tune the point of balance by adding weight into the back of the stock (the system is supplied in the box but not fitted). There are also some tungsten barrel weights supplied to again allow the user to change the point of balance as required for complete flexibility. The barrels come with with a rib that tapers from 11-8mm and has ventilated side ribs. The tapered rib really draws the eye down the rib to the target. The trigger is fully adjustable and the package includes 3 different trigger blades. The barrels are fitted with external Invector DS chokes and comes with a set of 8 chokes. There is a spare recoil pad in the box to give a couple of different stock length options.

This gun was sold brand new in 2018, since then it has been used reasonably heavily. The action has worn in without being loose, the woodwork is in decent condition as are the barrels both inside and out. The blacking on the forend iron has thinned – purely a cosmetic issue.
