This is a second hand Browning B525 Hunter Light 12b with 28″ barrels choked at 1/4 & 3/4 – a gun that weighs roughly the same as a 20 bore so ideal for a person who struggles to handle a heavy gun, a youngster or a lady to use for both game or clay shooting but we would recommend sticking to lighter loads (21gr/24gr for clays and 28gr/30gr for game).
The overall condition of this gun is decent for the age because the action hasn’t seen masses of use, it is clean and tight, the stock has been shortened now finishing at 14 1/4″ including a good quality soft rubber recoil pad. The barrels are chrome lined internally so there are no issues there and externally the blueing is in good condition. The top barrel would need to be opened up to 1/2 choke to make it suitable for steel shot cartridges – it would cost roughly £70 to bore the choke.
