Description
This is a second hand Caesar Guerini Essex Limited 28ga Game with 30″ multi choke barrels – a good looking gun with a colour hardened scroll engraved side-plate action and attractive and well proportioned woodwork. It would make an ideal choice for shooting driven game either locally or for the higher birds around the country. The handling is fast enough to cope with local partridges but the solid top rib adds some weight to steady the swing on longer shots.
The overall condition is reasonable – the action remains tight, the woodwork has a few marks the most noticeable on the base of the stock near the pad (all of which could easily be removed by a gunsmith), the barrels are clean inside and out. A rubber pad has been fitted taking the stock length to 15 1/4″ overall.
We have the original case and a set of 4 chokes with this gun. Both locks on the case have broken.
