Description
This is a second-hand Beretta Silver Pigeon 12 gauge in field specification (6mm rib and autosafe) and 28” fixed choke barrels (choked at 1/4 & 1/2) – this is without doubt one of the most well know models out there. The Beretta action is known for its strength, durability and reliability and the overall gun is good looking and well finished. This gun would be a good choice to be used as an all-rounder being lightweight but well balanced with handling characteristics suited to driven game shooting, rough, pigeon or even clay shooting.
Made back in the mid 2000’s the previous owner used the gun a reasonable amount indicated by the fact the top lever is heading towards centre – but there is still plenty of life left in the action plus a gunsmith could easily tighten things up once a few more thousand cartridges have gone through it. The woodwork is in reasonable condition there are a few marks but nothing too serious. The barrels are clean internally, externally the blueing has thinned at the muzzle where it has been in and out of a slip.
It comes with a 12 month warranty but unfortunately no plastic box.
