Description
This is a second hand AYA No.4 Boxlock Ejector 12 bore with 28″ barrels choked at 1/2 & Full. The overall condition is very good – the action is crisp and tight and retains a large percentage of the original colour hardening, the bores are clean and tidy without any marks and the external blueing is good. The stock is in tidy condition with a few age-related marks, it is reasonably well figured for the grade and finishes at 15 1/4” overall including a thin rubber pad.
This is a gun that would be a perfect choice for walked up, rough or pigeon shooting, the weight would be perfect for a lady or youngster to use comfortably too. Moving forwards and the introduction of non-lead shot for game shooting the barrels will be capable of firing up to 32gr 4’s or 5’s in steel plus most of the bismuth options as well although the full choke barrel will need to be opened up first.
