Description
This is a second hand 12ga Browning B525 (grade 1) Hunter with 26″ fixed choke barrels. The action has light scroll engraving and well proportioned woodwork. It is a gun that would be perfect for walked up or driven game shooting as well as suitable for a few clays too. The chokes are 1/4 & 3/4 so as and when the move to non-lead cartridges happens the top barrel would need to be opened up by a gunsmith to make it suitable. Approx £75 per barrel to carry out that work.
The overall condition is good. This gun was made back in 2006, it has been used a reasonable amount but not excessively ever since. The action has loosened up, the top lever is heading towards centre indicating the use. The woodwork is oil finished, it has been shortened a touch now finishing at 14 7/8″ overall including a rubber pad. There are a few marks in the stock finish which could easily be removed by a gunsmith – we thought about having the stock refinished but decided that it would be ok to put straight into the rack as it was.
Part exchange welcome.
