Description
This is a second hand Browning Maxus Black Gold with a 28” multi choke barrel – a very attractive gun to look at with a lightly engraved black action with gold enhanced gamebirds. The woodwork is nicely figured with good dimensions too. The balance and handling is suited to both clay and field shooting, the length of the 28” barrel helps to steady the swing but the overall weight is 6lb 10oz so not too heavy to be carried around the field. The stock is finished by a decent soft rubber recoil pad to help reduce the recoil from a heavy cartridge, the gas operating system also reduces some recoil – the result is a gun that will comfortably handle and cycle a large amount of heavy cartridges.
By altering the shims the stock is adjustable in height and cast – both left and right hand is possible. There is a plastic spacer fitted to this gun pushing the length out to 15″ – it is possible to add and remove spacers to change the length further.
This gun is actually 5 years old but has fired very few cartridges in that time. The condition is excellent as a result. It comes cased with a set of internal Invector+ chokes and a key plus a years warranty.
Part exchange welcome.
