Description
This is a second hand 12 gauge Browning Heritage Sporter with 30” multi choke barrels – a very attractive gun with nicely figured grade 5 Turkish walnut woodwork and a heavily game-scene and scroll engraved sideplate action. The detail in the engraving is unbelievable if you look at it close up. The overall condition is excellent considering we sold it brand new back in 2010 – the action remains very tight (the gun hasn’t fired 500 cartridges from new), the woodwork is particularly well figured with a darker overall appearance than some we have seen but it works really well – its a piece of wood that is going to draw attention. The barrels are clean inside and out. The stock has the original Browning heel-plate fitted.
It is a gun that would be an ideal choice for a mixture of clay shooting or driven game shooting, the overall weight, balance and handling make it suitable for shooting Skeet or sporting clays, local driven game or even the high birds in Yorkshire or the West Country. There is enough overall weight in this gun to help absorb some recoil from heavy loads on the tall game birds but the handling remains lively enough for local partridge or pheasant shooting.
Comes cased with a set of 5 internal chokes and a key.
Part exchange welcome.
